Portable hard drive

I still trying to get it to working. The first problem is that their is no instructioning to follow. I have try to backup my computer for a few weeks and still won't backup my computer. I waited to long to return this product, now I am stuck with it. I thought I was getting a great idea but like some people say if it too good to be true , you better be careful. Now I have a nice looking paper weight, or put it in my bookshelf as part of my library. Sorry!

Excellent as Extension to MyCloud NAS Drive

Fails WD's Drive Utility

Hard drive reports as a WD80EMZZ which is a reasonably fast drive (Read 231MB/s - Write 216MB/s) but unfortunately does not pass WD's Drive Utilities - Extended test. Keeps hanging at 90% completion even after running for 20 hours. WD is not known for writing good software but I also wasn't going to trust storing my files on a hard drive that won't pass their own diagnostics.
