Have always found Western Digital eternal drives to be reliable.

This is a must buy if you're looking for a reliable and fast external USB 3.0 drive. The hard drive inside the enclosure is a WD 8TB Red NAS drive. Use it as is as an external drive or remove the hard drive and put in your NAS or in your PC. Make sure you wait for it to be on sale so you can get at a great price too.

Great drive for Mac Time Machine backup - reformat for Mac using Disk Utility. Really good value for 8TB! Quieter and better value than the other WD 8TB.

This hardrive Worked Well for what I needed it for.

I bought 2 of these for my Son and saved a boatload of money from the Holiday Sale at BestBuy. He also bought 2 to use as backups for the first set. He has tons of movies that require a lot of storage and requested this model. I shopped around and couldn't find a sleeker design or a better price anywhere.

Purchased about a year and a half ago with no issues so far. Thinking about buying a second one as a backup. So far so good, not much to say about mass storage except "it works" and "it's not painfully slow for an HDD".

Needed additional storage for my photos, this one is similar to one i have and works great

I have a couple of smaller 2T ext storage drives and needed more space. I got this monster for about the same price I paid for the smaller ones (each). Easy to set up, Easy to use. WD makes great drives!!

Looking to expand memory on my all in one and the customer service is amazing answered all question and a tech staff even suggest the right plug n play for the external hard drive. Great shopping experience, staff very knowledgeable.

Does exactly what it is intended for. Pretty much just unbox, plug it in and start using it. I used this to replace a flaky WD Game Drive and after several days/weeks or heavy usage it's still cranking as expected.

Drive worked as expected, transfer time great using the drive in its case. Removed the drive and installed in computer, works great as well. You cannot beat the drive, a Western Digital Red that is inside. Ended up purchasing three of these, price per GB compared to a bare drive makes it a easy purchase.

For use with windows and iOS. To copy files off other HDs. Formatted the 1st drive, but the drive would not be recognized by either the iMac or pc (iOS and windows disk utility would recognize but I was unable to get the drive active). Returned, no questions asked. Second drive works well

this is a small footprint , large capacity unit. I have not got any feedback yet on it's operation and efficiency.

Never go wrong with a WD product. This one was easy to set up for my MacBook Pro. The store shipped my order quickly so the transaction was as good as the WD Drive.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son and can report hes using it with alot of space on his computer now so its a win!!!

Once again I had to get another external hard drive in order to back up all my files. I don't store anything on my computer's drive and usually make sure that I have at least two (2) copies of everything. I have used Western Digital drives for many years and never had a problem with them. Great product!

A bit slow booting up but that’s expected since its a HDD but other than that it runs smoothly was able to move all of my data on to this and it made it so much easier to have everything on one drive rather than having different flash drives

The WD BLACK 8TB storage drive was s a bit hole lot of storage for a very low price. This is a no brainer.
