    Not a bad storage device. I don't like that it needs to be plugged in to the wall along with the device you are using. would have been better In my opinion to run off the parent device.

    I have to go online and do some sort of download to get the thing to work. I thought it was like other units I have had: you plug it in, it appears in your toolbar and the back ups are automatic. It took me awhile to get to it or I might have returned it.

    I bought this and backed up all of my information. Now, it is simply broken. The hard drive seems to have failed. I am trying to contact Western Digital to see about warranty options.

    This drive will do a great backup but my purpose was to put all of my DVD's on it then play them from the hard drive. It works however about half way through the movie the lip sync starts to not track. So it's not much use for me 400 DVD collection. I'm pretty disappointed.
