Fast drive at a good price. Great for backups and storing photos and videos.

My SSD hard drive had a scare that it might be failing and that's a horrible feeling. Luckily I went onto the best buy website and ordered for in-store pick up. I got the last one in stock. It was a great steal and it was on sale. I did quick research right before buying and it happened to be on sale, i needed something in store right away, luckily i chose to buy and pick up. When i went into the store, the guy had no idea what he was talking to, he tried to get me to buy the other WD 8TB hard drive that was almost $100 more. I brought it home and it was a plug and play, I backed up my hard drive over night with ease. And it was also a WD RED which was even a better score!!!

It’s performed well, not too noisy or hot. It’s in constant operation backing up my NAS.

It was more than what I was needing at the time but it's always better to have more room than not enough for extra/back up storage space.

I wanted to add a storage drive I wouldnt have to replace in a year or so, so I did my research and chose the 8TB WD easystore. Everything has worked great with the hd, my only complaint is that it was not as simple as plug and play. Once I got everything updated, it has worked without any issues.

This is a great hard drive, I have purchased several of these and they work great. The supplied power supply goes off to the side vs. hanging down so that may help with multiple drives connected to the same outlet will fit nicely.

I purchased this external hard drive to replace a Seagate drive that died on me suddenly. So far this fits my needs. It's very quiet and writes quickly. So far it fits my needs well. It includes software for windows and Mac.

Excited to find out that these have WD RED drives inside. Should provide a good storage option for NAS or remain a reliable external backup. Price at BestBuy was very good. Time will tell if the drive lasts, but the external has a 2yr warranty and I expect to use it well past that mark.

The best TV ever and for the money. It fits the living room perfectly. It is clear, classy and always, has its presence. Very easy to connect and takes very little room. It is probably the best TV, in terms of size and value for money for the longest and forceable future. No regrets whatsoever.

Always used Western Digital drives since my first PC still have those decade plus drives and they run never recieved a DOA or bad product from them neither so cannot testify to customer support or RMAs. The drive sustains 150+mbps R/W speeds via USB 3.0 It appears no reds now but took a gamble for $140 can't beat the deal for 8TBs anyways. The drive is a white drive SATA / 256mb cache WD80EMAZ Which is now made by aquired company via WD and this white drive has protection if you shuck or remove it. It will not play due to a so called feature in the drive. But boils down to the PSU sending 3volts down 4th wire and makes the drive unreadable via bio's, system monitor software, and disk management. To overcome this you need a simple cheap adapter --- 8inch SATA 15pin Female to Molex 4pin Male Power Adapter (90 Degree) <---- simple highlight that right click and search google Do not buy the cheapo kind that has a molded form "Sealing the Wires" these are known to combust My rig now servers as a 24.7 media server pushing 2to3 streams throughout the house without a issue, 24.7 content digester if you know what I mean, 24.7 encoder via handbrake and endless historical library to HEVC 265, and of course 24.7 workstation and whatever else need be THOR =MY RIG SPECS: Rosewill THOR V2 Full Tower Case Intel Skylake Unlocked 4ghz 1151 socket - OC'd @ 4.6 on stock air cooling. Tested and destroyed water cooling temps on 3 units. WD is awesome, I have several WD external drives and this one 8TB drive is now my secondary backup for my other WD drives. Why secondary, drives fail, cryptovirus (hopefully never), one drive to grab and/or have in my "In case of emergency quick grab bag", you know Hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, etc. This is one drive that I trust, one drive maker that I trust and Western Digital is the one brand that I trust. Not to mention that it's super easy to use, plug it in and in a few seconds your ready to use it. Catch it on sale and it's a great buy! Keep safe!

Bought one of these for my son in 2019 and another one in 2020. He already had one so now he has three. He shoots and edits a lot of video so needs a large amount of storage space. He's happy with the three that he owns.

Saw this drive come up on one of the daily deals for $139. For an 8 terabyte drive, that was unheard of! This will be great for storing my digital photos and movies for for use with my Xbox One or PS4 for game storage/installs. If you can pick it up for this price, I highly recommend you do!

I notice this drive showed very high temps according to Crystal Disk Info. It goes back down when idle. I shucked my drive (removed the outer shell) and have the bare drive mounted outside my case and I still get VERY high temps when doing a lot of read / writes. Since I don't know what the long term reliability will be I can't really recommend this drive.

Using as a time capsule for my Mac. Working flawlessly.

Bought to store movies. Plenty of space and easy to use.

For the money, it's a great investment in having a backup drive for all of one's files, especially being able to keep up a local backup of what one has floating around online (in case online services start dying off one by one).

This external USB attached disk is EZ to use and the included backup software is also EZ to use. The description for this disk is for a desktop PC but I use it to back up my two laptops too. It is small enough to be portable as long as you have access to a 120v outlet. It is not USB powered.

I had to do my research on this product and I was glad that I was able to purchase it. I was able to fit in all my pictures and documents. It was very easy to install as well. I do recommend it
