Good value when on sale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a large capacity external USB drive to backup a NAS device, rather than juggling several smaller capacity drives. This works great and fit my needs and budget with a 40% off sale. As a bonus, this has a Red NAS drive inside, rather than a traditional desktop drive.

Great drive. Good price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought on sale and using a pair to archive my important files and pictures. Prefer these Easystore drives because they are using WD Red/White drrive and don't use encryption.

Very Large Size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple to use very large external hard drive. Access speed is somewhat sluggish compared to currently available smaller drives but if you need lots of room this is the drive to buy. Best for storing backups, or infrequently needed files, for a very attractive price.

Full of WD Red Drives!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these on sale, just for the drives inside, when I opened them up (or shucked them), I found two 8TB WD Red drives, at the sale price these can't be beat. I am going to use them in a new NAS system, and I will likely throw an older, smaller drive back into one of the enclosures. I did some testing before cracking them open, and the transfer speeds, over USB 3, were faster than any other device that I have, so not only will the drives live on, but so will the enclosures! Both devices are manufactured in Thailand, and contained 8TB WD Red NAS drives (256MB Cache).

Works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great hard drive. I use it to store media files for my plex server over my network and back up my computer. With 8TB, I am long away from running out of space.

Great size device on sale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I managed to snag an 8TB on sale for 130$ over the weekend. I had been looking at a 4TB for not much cheaper and decide to go with the 8TB. This is being used as external storage on the Xbox one s. It was very easy to use the storage device with the Xbox. It does make some noise and is about the size of a decent sized book. The noise does not bother me and I have the device hidden behind the tv, so neither of these are an issue for me, but may be for others.

Compact Size but a bit noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's compact size helps me save space next to my laptop. Perfectly does the job it needs to do for backing up files. Very easy to use. However, it tends to make noises compared to other hard drives I own.

Good large drive, a little slow to wake up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because my last external backup drive was almost full, plus you don't want your backup drives to be too old. Best Buy was having their My Rewards members sale, so I stopped in and got this one. Setup was easy and transferring stuff from my computer and other backup drives was easy and quick. My only complaint about the drive is that when you haven't sent anything to it in a little while it goes to sleep (as most drives do) and it takes a little longer than I'm used to to wake up and be able to accept files or go to the file you're looking for. A minor annoyance.
