Not much to say. Plenty of space and Usb3. Personally used for backup of a backup then stored offsite.

Western Digital *TB external USB drive - I only buy WD external drifves as I have never had a drive fail, they work all day long end up thrwoing them away when I need a larger size!

good product easy to set up. You are able to directly drop files manually with bo problem. i personal did not use the app for this. i primarily used it for games and my game recodings

I have one already and it works well just make sure you format it to what you need Playstation(3/4/5) Fat32 Same for Xbox. the more memory the better. I bought this for a family member but found out they had one already and now i think its to late to return.. welp more space for me :)

What can I say, its an external hard drive and it does what its supposed to do. Speeds are decent as far as an HDD goes. Caught this on sale, it was a good buy. So far so good, I'm happy with this one.

The surprise hidden inside each of these high capacity external drives is apparently a Western Digital Red NAS-rated hard drive. These are designed for long life and high reliability. While not ultra-high speed, they are more than enough for USB 3.0. An excellent value.

Low Noise, High Capacity Desktop Hard Drive. Good deal for network storage. Western Digital has always been reliable for me.

This is my second storage device ( First One was a 4 TB). Massive storage for the money ( Black Friday Special). Its efficient, quite and easy to work with.

Another name brand product stopped working. It cost almost twice as much as the original product to recover the data. My original Western Digital, external hard drive is still working after buying it years ago! I am happy with WD reliability and recommend their products.

great drive to buy when onsale, the 8TB drive gives plenty of rom to save your stuff. The no frills packaging is strong but easy to remove in case you want to use it inside a machine

These drives are good for backup. However, the one that I got clearly has one of the noisy and hot NAS type drives that uses more power. I have taken the drives out of a few of these in the past for use in my DIY server but this one with the hotter drive stays as external.

I bought this to use as a media server. So far it has worked flawlessly. The price is excellent for 8T and though I'm not sure it is a "red" drive...it seems fast, reliable, and suitable for my needs.

Needed a larger external hard drive and this seemed a good deal for the amount of storage for the price.

This is a great drive, which I use to backup my NAS server. It doesn't appear to run hot for me, but that may be because it's only doing incremental backup. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase.
