One of the challenges anyone needing digital storing space is having the peace of mind that your photos and video files will be in a trusted location. The other challenge is having significant storage space, especially if you're using higher-end video recorders and DSLR cameras. Western Digital is an extremely reliable brand. My colleagues who do professional videography are limiting their digital storage media to very few brands with Western Digital at the top of the list. Having 8 TB at a great price from Western Digital is an ideal combination.

Great hard drive and it is even better when you buy as deal of the day.Software that came with it it is not the best but if second copy backup software is used make this drive better and easier to to back up documents with lot of options

Picked up this little guy to use on a Raspberry Pi-based NAS. Seems to work just fine. I'm sure the 3b is holding back any performance that this actually has.

High density, great price and form factor. WD is also a reliable company as well and the best part is the internal drive is a high quality drive.

Latest pro cameras have huge sensors which requires one to have huge backups!!! Very important to backup ones images

My daughter's computer crashed recently and she thought she'd lost all of her pictures since the birth of her now 8 year old daughters. Not wanting to go through that same stress. It's a comfort knowing I have all of my files backed up.
