Great storage for Time Machine Backup

In case you had concerns, it will require the external power supply. This is a full sized HDD and USB power isn't enough. Real life usable space isn't 8TB, but it's more than enough for the average consumer. If it's on sale, pick one up, back up everything, and forget about it.

Big storage for data hoarders and such

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So in truth, this is actually a pretty moderate amount of extra/backup storage compared to the 10+ TB sizes that are more standard these days. But the pricepoint was good when I picked this up, and they shuck easily enough for the hard drive to be put into a small home server setup. Get a few of them for RAID and you're good to go!
