Great Hard drive! Holds up a lot of content and files, but for some reason this one all of a sudden reads “Your computer cannot read this hard drive” and ive had to get another one. Hopefully this one will be good!

Fast storage and plenty of it. Does exactly what I needed. Used for storing videos I record.

I couldn`t find anything for storing my data with reasonable price except this. This product is excellent choice for backup storage.

WD is a great external hard drive. It is not a red WD; it has a white label on the hard drive, but it works great as an external hd.

Have been using these drives for backup clones and couldn't be happier with the outcome. They are fairly snappy, and I've not had a single issue with them. I run several in tandem at all times and they just keep marching along. I will be purchasing more shortly.

Pull the Drive out of the case and you have yourself a WD Red label Nas drive. Drive alone is more expensive. So this was a win win

The WD Easystore 8TB External Hard Drive was well worth the purchase. It was a simple plug and play into my computer and it has been storing large amounts of data ever since. I would highly recommend this product for anyone needing to store large amounts of data and to have it recalled quickly!

I've used Western Digital (WD) drives for years, desktop and laptop portable models, with no failures ever. I will stick with them.

as far as external USB 3.0 hard drives go, this is about what you would expect as far as features go. what makes these drives special is what's actually on the inside. as of the time of this review, the 8TB version actually has a Western Digital Red NAS helium drive! these are usually much more expensive if you were to just buy the bare drive. although the higher quality build of the WD Red NAS drives is over kill for a USB 3.0 external hard drive, it's good to know that the insides are of higher build quality than your average external hard drive and with helium filled means it should run cooler too. although, on the topic of temperature, the enclosure provides zero active cooling, so if you left this drive on for several days, it does get very hot. that said, NAS drives should be able to withstand the heat as they are meant to be run in storage arrays full of hot hard drives. but, if you're conservative, I would not leave this thing powered on for several days at a time, at least not in it's USB 3.0 enclosure. but it's not a problem if you just want to hook it up for a few hours to run a backup or something like that. wait for the sales, and this becomes a WD Red/NAS gem in a el cheapo USB HDD disguise.
