I've used Western Digital (WD) drives for years, desktop and laptop portable models, with no failures ever. I will stick with them.

So far so good. I wanted a little larger one but this price was too good to let the deal go by.

Bought this as a gift for my dad who takes a lot of photo and video when he travels. Perfect for the new digital age format media

I needed more space to store my stuff and it’s easy to use. I’m not tech savvy but I didn’t have trouble setting up. Still works great like it’s not there just open the program and transfer the data for storing.

Cheap storage. I end up pull drive put in my server cause cheaper to buy this then buy actually drive same gb. It WD red. Will have tape off pin on power supply as most pc for some reason won’t power cause way setup. There plenty how to on web

I needed a backup drive for my primary server, and this fit the bill nicely. Easy to setup and operate, and lots of bang for the buck. I hate to review storage in the short term as my feelings largely depend on how reliable the drive ends out being and how well the company supports its product if needed, but for now, I have no issues.

Writes decent fast, has been great for my plex server so far. Definitely recommend.

I've been using the first 8TB WD External Drives since they came out, but they're noisy, they have no indicator lights that indicate they're in read/write mode or even that they have power, and they never spin down when used with media players and aren't being accessed. Their redeeming quality was that they're super FAST when used with exFat formatting, and of course their 8TB size. The newer easystore 8TB drives are MUCH quieter, they spin down when not being accessed while connected to a media player, and they're as fast as the original 8TB external drives from WD. I wonder if there's a software upgrade to make the older 8TB drive work like the easystore drives. They still won't have the lights, but it would be nice if they weren't always running at full tilt.

The WD Easystore 8TB External Hard Drive was well worth the purchase. It was a simple plug and play into my computer and it has been storing large amounts of data ever since. I would highly recommend this product for anyone needing to store large amounts of data and to have it recalled quickly!

GOBS of easy to use backup storage. Works fast and reliably.

8 terabytes of USB 3 storage. Have not tried the included backup software as I just need it for the tremendous amount of space.

I am using it to backup both Linux and Windows systems. I plan to buy one more of it.

Using for network attached storage for backup of PC's. Working as intended, no complaints.
