The external drive was perfect to use as a frequent access drive. It is very easy to install and works seamlessly.

Recently bought this WD 8TB external hard drive storage. It's perfect in that I could plug, format, and utilize for game download storage. Apparently I heard you can shuck the product but why waste the time doing that. It runs smooth, I had heard it is loud, which I do not find to be the case. So far loving it!

Have been using these drives for backup clones and couldn't be happier with the outcome. They are fairly snappy, and I've not had a single issue with them. I run several in tandem at all times and they just keep marching along. I will be purchasing more shortly.

So far I’ve never had a western digital drive fail on me. I trust the brand. This makes makes for a good alternative for a backup drive (I highly recommend a NAS, cloud storage is great too albeit monthly fee for greater amounts of storage and internet speed).

These have an 8TB red inside. I use it for a plex server on my Shield TV. It sits on a TV console about 10 feet away so it's inaudible for me even when the room is quiet. Doesn't seem to get hot either. When it's on sale it's a no brainer. Bare WD Reds are expensive alone at this capacity, so this is a steal at 160

Unlike other external hard drives, it has a powerful hard drive in it. Some others take them off and use for NAS.

Uses WD Red drive and runs great! You cannot go wrong at the price they want. Even better if you find it on sale!

I needed a large amount of storage to backup work data. This was easy to format for use on a Mac and was a plug and go. I was able to transfer 7TB quickly without any issues. I will definitely be buying additional devices when this has been filled to the max.

I use this drive for an external HD and backup. The speed is very fast for retrieval and seems to be dependable.

I usually end up filing a hard drive a year but this one has so much room I'm sure it will last me a great while.
