Shockable and air filled

They are still white label red drives but they are definitely air filled and not helium filled which means they tend to run a bit hotter. Either way when these go on sale I’m a sucker and buy to that I can shuck it like an oyster and pop it in my NAS.

Best hard drive for ps4

With this external hard drive setup was super easy and quick. Now I have tons of space and can play all my games without worry of deleting files off my ps4 to make room. Now I just have to buy another one for my Xbox 1.

Huge amount of storage - backup, but...

Even with USB 2.0 ports, file transfers are fast, and 8 TB is over 8x my hd space, so it's worked great for that. But I can't get my Sony Blu Ray player and the 8 TB mini-tower to connect, so it doesn't work for watching movies with my older Sony TV or Blu Ray. Took off one star for that. Still satisfied with product.

Great archival storage

I make sure to have off-site backup as well just to prevent data loss since all hard drives will eventually fail.

Great Shucking Drive @Great Price

Apparently they aren’t guaranteed, but I have now purchased 4 and all of them did. Very easy to pull off enclosure, just look on YouTube.

These drives are a great value ($/TB). The USB 3.0 is great for fast and large file transfers if you do not intend on shucking the drive and using it as an internal.
