    The best part about this external hard drive is what's inside the case. An 8TB WD Red drive. These are very fast, large, and reliable drives. You'll be hard pressed to find a better deal than this until 8TB drives are much cheaper.

    It's a 5400 or a 5900 RPM drive but the track density is high enough to generate excellent read and write rates. Read and write speeds on uncluttered outer tracks run close to 200 MB per sec. I'd recommend this drive to a friend. I've owned Western Digital drives in the past and have consistently been satisfied with their value. (I did purchase a WD drive that had performance issues (from the start) - Best Buy allowed me to exchange it with no pushback.) Kudos, Best Buy!

    Very good deal from Best Buy on a 8TB external drive. Perfect for my needs, slow to load via USB3, but has sustained faultless streaming of HD movies so far. Bought the 2 year replacement coverage for an extra $20 just in case.
