Bought this for a backup drive on my NAS. With almost 6TB of data, it took a little time (okay, a lot, it seems) to do the initial backup, but that was to be expected. Now, any changes are completed immediately and I feel pretty comfortable that it will last for awhile. Some people mentioned the noise, but I really don't hear it over anything else. Of course, with the computer, NAS, everything else running, it seems pretty quite to me. The cost is fantastic with the peace-of-mind you get knowing that your computer is backed up.

Bought this hard drive for a Christmas present for our brother and he is really enjoying it. He utilizes the gaming functions between the mouse and his other computer devices.

This external drive is the way to go It’s very easy to install and will hold many many games.

Good bang for your buck, especially if you can get it on sale. WD is consistently the best cheap external large HD provider between this and the elements series.

Only had the drive for about a month. So far it works as it should. Cheaper than buying a bare drive. I use it to back up a NAS so I do not really need the included software. I prefer Western Digital over Seagate based on personal experience.

Works quick tranfering photos good for backing up images and other documents

Holds alot of information and easy access. I digitize DVD's and tv series on this and still have room for more.
