It's very convenience to backup a lot of files into one big capacity (8TB)

Couldn't beat the deal on this external hard drive. Large amount of storage to get the job done. fast and easy to set up, just plug and play

I needed an external hard disk for backup. This should do me for a while. Speed, capacity, and reliability have all been what I needed.

Nice external drive for $175. It would be faster if it was 3.1, but I am getting about 200MB/sec out of it. Not being powered from USB is a plus, especially if you got a bunch of external drives. Like all the WD products I have experienced, it is well made and should last a long time.

Great product all my files automatically save and are secured yet accessible when needed.

This is pretty much a plug and play unit for any recent Windows machine with USB 3.x, Linux folks will need to fuss about with Fuse and ntfs-3g - but it does work acceptably well. For us, this is our disaster recovery system - it sits on a laptop in an outbuilding, attaches to the main network via a 5 gHz link, and receives a daily backup. It's worked flawlessly for almost a month now and we trust that it will continue to protect us from fire, flood, tornadoes, and psychotic brother-in-laws.

This was a great purchase until I lost my computer to a motherboard failure a couple of months ago that will take a long time to replace during this cancer battle and no money for much now.

I have had good experience with wd in the past. It has worked really well.

After my last storage device died, I need one fast. After receiving the device, everything that was on the old drive was salvaged and put on the new one easily. With more space to add.

Bought this for a backup drive on my NAS. With almost 6TB of data, it took a little time (okay, a lot, it seems) to do the initial backup, but that was to be expected. Now, any changes are completed immediately and I feel pretty comfortable that it will last for awhile. Some people mentioned the noise, but I really don't hear it over anything else. Of course, with the computer, NAS, everything else running, it seems pretty quite to me. The cost is fantastic with the peace-of-mind you get knowing that your computer is backed up.

Awesome hard drive to PS5 extended storage. As of writing this on 12/22/2020 you can’t add to the internal SSD on the PS5 yet, so I purchased this hard drive to store and play literally all of my PS4 games on so I never have to worry about redownloading. I have about 6TB worth of PS4 games on it, and it works great playing games right from this on the PS5.

I only purchased this drive for storage. However, it can be used for working projects if needed. I would not recommend 4K video editing from here. However, it is a great place to free up space and access as needed.

these hard drive is ok so far works just fine. hope it last a long time.

Not bad for storqge but programming included is a bit confusing. One progrqm you have to download and then purchase full versiom and security program doesnt even work.

I needed a couple of large hard drives and Best Buy had the best price. They are both working fine and filling up fast.

worked with ps4 now I 've got almost 9tb of storage available works great doesn't produce much heat during the long dlc sessions

I saw this online as a daily deal and I got it at an awesome price. It works as expected, and it was well worth the money.

Only complaint is temp of hard drive gets 112 degrees when left on 24/7
