Lots of storage, quick access to files, & speedy file transfers. I’ve always had great reliability with Western Digital hard drives.

WD is my favorite brand, and this 8tb was a steal on black friday. even at $160 it's a great price. have never had a WD drive fail on me

Bought two so I could get rid of the stacks of smaller drives. They take up little space and hold all my current data. I have much more room on desk with just 2 drives instead of 8.

Very good deal from Best Buy on a 8TB external drive. Perfect for my needs, slow to load via USB3, but has sustained faultless streaming of HD movies so far. Bought the 2 year replacement coverage for an extra $20 just in case.

I purchased this to back up my mac and boy does it deliver. Backed up my computer with ease and still have plenty of memory to spare.

Working as expected! Used for backup purposes. I have another one of 3TB and started failing with 1/3 of it with bad blocks. At least I was able to copy over the data it had.

I've been using the hard drive for a ps4 extension drive, since 8tb is the max and usb 3.0 min required. It's been great so far.

WD EasyStore was entirely satisfactory. Bestbuy was satisfactory. The "free $20" credit with Shutterfly was not. Very deceptive, and I do not recommend dealing with that company EVER. (It only honors one credit. If you input a second one, it is GONE. You can't retrieve it nor give it to anyone else.)

These external hard drives contain highly reliable NAS quality drives in them, so for the price (often on sale) they can't be best!

Western Digital hard drives, I believe are hands down the best external drives out there. I owned a 1tb, 2-3tb, and a 4tb seagate hard drives and within 2 years of purchase regretted it when everything was lost on all of them due to different issues with the drives. Ive owned a toshiba ehd wasnt bad, but currently have several WD hard drives, 6 to be exact with the oldest being 11 years old, and never has a single issue with any of them. WD is the only way to go and the price is comparable to any other!
