I needed a extra external HD for my files. Works well. Not as fast. But it's fast enough for what I need it for.

This will hold my photos and music for quite a while. A note to Mac users: my Mac suddenly told me that the contents were OK but that the Mac could not access them. Then I noticed the same message with my backup hard drive and with another HD. Pieces on the internet report that the issue seldom is with the hard drives and not to write them off. Someday soon I hope to get it all to work.

Bought this for extra space for movies, music, games, and pictures. Easy set up and connect and easy to disconnect and perfect size so it's out of the way.

Plug and play, doesn’t even need any special software. Had this hard drive up and running within minutes of purchase. Very fast transfer rates as well.

Very good backup drive but the current accompanying software download was changed and is very frustrating and difficult to load.

It does the job well - the transfer speeds are surprisingly faster than we anticipated. We are using it with our Xbox 1S. It does have some noise, though - if you are looking for an ultra quiet hard drive, this may not be the droid you're looking for.

Solid construction. Especially around the USB connector.....Have broken several of the USB connectors off of one the OTHER VENDORS drives in this range making the drive useless as it would cost more to repair than to break apart and salvage the drive. THIS DRIVE IS WELL BUILT and performs very well. (Have purchased several.)

Pretty simple, I dj part time and found it at a great price, works great.

Was going to return it because the speed was really slow transferring files, but the computer I was transferring from was the culprit and once I was able to transfer to a faster computer it worked fine

I am a bit crazy and I use this as a back up for my backup. Overall great quality and it works well. Just wished it would also come with a USB-C cable.
