Great speed, quiet, and tons of memory for my video games

On sale this thing can't be beat. Easy set up and huge amount of space.

A quick and easy shuck and some kapton tape to block pin 3 and blammo, my server had an additional 8TB of storage to play with. Watch these for sales and grab one for easy storage. The device by itself is great too, stable storage for those who need a little more room but don't have the ability to add the drive in their computer.

I needed more storage for my PS4 and found this on sale. Works flawlessly on the PS4. It uses DC power (not a fan of it but it's fine) but it turns itself off when the PS4 is turned off which is great because my old one would stay on until it was manually turned off.

Works great. USB 3.0 is much faster than older USB 2.0 WD external drives I have. It is plug and play with Windows 10. It comes with WD disk utilities on it, but I don't use these. I have other real time backup software running. This 8GB WD HD is "air gapped" from my Dell XPS 8920. I use it only for backup of an external WD 4GB HD. I bought it on sale at BB, great low price.

Has been great so far, no issues with device. USB transfer speeds are good. Have not tried to shuck.

Runs ridiculously hot when in use. The case doesn’t seem to actively cool or anything of the sort. Uncomfortable to touch/have on desk

I'm using it for backing up my computer. The device install was easy. My one challenge is figuring out how to manage space the WD Back up software uses. But that may just be me not taking enough time to study associated documentation. But it's nice to have all my changed files backed up daily without having to do anything but leave the omputer running at the time I selected.

I use this drive to back-up data from 6-8 computers. It has performed well. The software that comes with the drive is also a plus. I believe to obtain the software you need to purchase the WD back-up drive that says plus. Or maybe I could be wrong. However, it is worth considering while searching for large backup drive.

Bought this to back up/hoard a bunch of files. I got it while it was on sale. Couldn’t beat the price per TB. I have no issues or concerns With this drive. Works as advertised and the quality is fine. The usb cable could be a little longer for sake of storing this out of sight but otherwise no issues.

I bought this 8tb drive to go with my new Xbox one X system as an expansion for the hard drive. The price was 149.00 and was to good to pass up since it retails for over 300 dollars. When in used it helps me to load games faster because of the major storage. It also helps me to travel from one Xbox one to another because my games already loaded up on the hard drive.

Great option for a backup. Have also had success with video editing. Great price point.
