Huge storage for the price. Hooked it up and everything transferred easily.

Bought in June, loaded about 3TB of data on it. Unplugged till today, when the drive is unresponsive. Cannot be opened or initiated, gives fata error. Will never buy WD again, do not recommend. Go with Seagate. Moreover, Bestbuy support couldnt even tell me if repair had cost or not till I took it in-person... save yourself some trouble and buy elsewhere and just not this brand/model

Work great and is pretty fast on USB3. I just wish it also came with a USB-C cable.

I used this for my pictures and videos so I don’t have to storage it in the hard drive of the computer. My laptop is not an expensive one, so if you put a lot of information and data it gets slow. Now I have a lot of storage for pics and video and other data. Love this product.

Easy to pull out the drive - white labeled WD drive. Works great in a Synology NAS.

A great backup device that you will need, just in case

Great drive and price was awesome. Hooked right up to Xbox and can now download free gold games. If you have an Xbox you need an external drive. This one has to have its own power supply and that’s ok since it lives with the console. Took less than 5 minutes and this thing was in service and having new games downloaded to it.

Shucked from external case after running WD diagnostics as external drive. Then ran unRAID PreClear successfully and installed in unRAID Server for storage drive. Works fine so far. Good Hard Drive- temps OK

Added this 8tb bad boy to my PS4 hard drive so I wouldn't have to delete and (re)download games onto the main hard drive or a smaller one. Won't be as fast as the SSD I put in the system, but good for the extra games I don't play as often.

Not only does this back up your computer drives, movies and music but will also play back on a usb DVD player. Great item.

I purchased two of these. One is always connected to may computer and the other has a backup of the same files. Sometimes I connect the other one to my other media devices to play music and videos. For the price it's a massive amount of storage. It's not super fast compared to ssd and can be a be a bit loud sometimes, but I'd still recommended for backup of media, such as photos, videos, music, etc.

This gives me the space i needed. Easy set up on Mac

Having owned this product for over 2 years now, it still works the same as the first day even through daily use. My media server is hosted on this drive for my movies and television and music libraries, still going strong.

Reliable hard drive for storage. I didn't need any high speeds but wanted a drive for storage for my gaming console. It works perfectly for that so I'd recommend picking one up if you need it and don't care that it requires power and is a little larger.

Good drive with decent speeds just make sure you understand you don’t actually get 8tb after formatting
