big space to store all your video and files, reliable red drive inside

8tb WD red hiding inside for $159, doesn't get much better than that.

Easy plug and play. Now I have tons of extra storage.

Bought this to use as extended storage for my PS4, and I love it. It has not failed and gives me the additional punch that I couldn’t get by replacing the hard drive in the PS. It appears to play well with the PS4, anytime the power is lost, the PS4 discovers the extended storage and “fixes” it with no issues whatsoever.

It is a awesome harddisk. And It is too cheap for everyone buying.

Needed more storage and this fit the bill at the right price

I use this External Drive as extra storage for my Xbox One Console. No issues with the Xbox One Console detecting and formatting the drive.

Great Hard Drive Lots of storage for a very reasonable price

This product was easy to set up and has a large storage capacity.

It is more like 4.5 stars, due to the software, but I'm rounding up due to quality, value, and many years of great Western Digital drives. I love the drive, enclosure, and build quality. I have three internal Western Digital Drives (1TB and 2 4TB) and two older external Western Digital Drives (1.5TB and 2 TB) and have never had an issue with any of them

Setup went smooth, tons of space. Runs quiet. Great value

I haven't had any issues with the product. The data transfer rate is standard and what you would expect with the "Blue" WD rating. I use this drive with multimedia and had no issues. In the past WD was always reliable. I have tried other drive manufacturers and find myself coming back to WD. I did not have any reason to penalize stars with this drive.

setup was easy. large storage to accommodate all my backups.

These external drives contain Western Digital Red hard drives. They may have white labels but they are Reds inside where it counts. What's good about that? They are made to last, run very cool and have a huge amount of storage. This is a much more cost effective way to purchase storage than to buy bare hard drives. Great value for the money.

This a great deal for a 8TB DRIVE. Quick and easy to set up

For the sale price, this was too good of a value to pass up. Simple design, and the product works mostly as expected. The setup/formatting on my iMac was problematic as disk utility repeatedly threw errors. But I was eventually able to format the drive by restoring it from the clone of another drive. Can be noisy, and has to be ejected and reconnected from time to time because programs are unable to find locations on the drive.

It works good so far. Hopefully I didn't get a dud that dies right after the warranty ends.

I've got a few of these, and couldn't be happier! They run fast, quiet, and cool...keeping in mind they aren't high speed 7200RMP drives.

8TB holds a lot of photos. Works as advertised. Good product

With 8TB of storage, it should be enough for my need. At this price it is also reasonable to get a pair of drives and make a mirror of your data
