There is nothing wrong with the product but I returned it because I changed my mind.

So far an excellent companion to the Xbox one. Sturdy design and loads games quickly.

It was easy to set up and has decent speed. Write speeds are @ 100-125 MB/s with large file writes. The packaging is great. My only complaint about this particular model of drive is it seems to be somewhat warm, and there’s no fan in the drive for cooling. It’s still recommended at the price I got it ($150).

This price it is a great TB/dollar deal and best disk.

Great external drive! I have used the drive daily since purchased. Not one problem. Speed is very fast using the USB 3.0 port. If you need an external high capacity drive for a low price, you can stop looking. This drive is perfect for that.

Works. I have 2 of them on my Mac. Partitioned to use as time machine and for regular drive files. I have not noticed any sound from it like others have said.

Huge space capacity. One thing though when you set it up you won’t get the full 8 terabytes you’ll get a bit less but not the full 8 just keep that in mind. Access is fast but not blazing fast. I use it to back up my pictures. Get it when it’s on sale. Thanks BB

This is my second WD external drive and I do recommended to have two external drives; one as a back up of the other external drive. I took this desition after a friend lost her kids photos (since new born to kindergarden) that she had on her PC's drive that got broken and she sent to a special service trying to save the photos but unsuccesful to recover them. WD is a very thrustable brand since I got two drives and the oldest is from 5 years ago and still working without any troubles.

Really loud and cumbersome. The software isn’t great and it’s rather slow to write and read.

I use it as a Media Storage. Works great right out of the box. Mine was made in Thailand and had a WD80EFAX red drive in it. The WD80EFAX supposedly has a 256MB cache as compared to the WD80EFZX which has a 128MB cache and is made in China.You can remove the HDD and use it as an internal drive. Just took the case apart and you got a great WD Red hardrive out of it. The drive is super quiet, you won't even hear it running. Plenty of storage and good transfer rate - very nice drive.

I used this for my pictures and videos so I don’t have to storage it in the hard drive of the computer. My laptop is not an expensive one, so if you put a lot of information and data it gets slow. Now I have a lot of storage for pics and video and other data. Love this product.
