Immense capacity, fast read/write (over USB 3.0). Very quiet and cool operation. Looks nice too. Very satisfied so far (needs to show that it's reliable over time, which I fully expect to be the case - I have had very good experiences with WD drives in the past)

This is my 2nd 8tb WD Easy Store usb 3.0 external hard drive. First one I connected to my XBOX to save game info and extras on to it. This one will be for my desktop to save music, pictures, videos, etc. Very happy with purchase !

I purchased this external to put several of my other external drives onto one location. It works just great for this purpose. It is a full size drive so putting it into a safe place for security or fire protection might pose a bit of a challenge but I rate this highly.

Very good capacity, no issues during initial hook-up, used as a back-up to files, movies, and pictures.

Pretty much plug it in and you're good to go. Took longer to route the cords under my desk. I use other backup software, so I can't comment on the included WD software. I'm expecting the same 4-5 year life of the many WD external drives I bought over the years.

seasonably priced and easy to use disk storage. try to use usb 3 if your pc supports it.

Not bad. I have all my pictures on it. Something it takes a while to refresh & slows down. But it does what I need.

It was very easy to setup. It took a while to copy all 3 internal drives. It also showed some files not copied. Called WD and they quickly told me some operating system files will not copy. They sent me a list of those file. Great service from WD

Good and stable. Although, I'm not a big fan for the auto check sound, is it bearable.

Purchase, shuck, repeat. The HDD included was a WD White Label. Not a problem for me. Much cheaper than purchasing a WD Red at same density from other vendors. Works well in a NAS enclosure after shucking the drive out of the external enclosure.

A great price point for an 8gb hard drive. I use this to archive my files. I don't know how well it works as an external. I took it a part and used it as an internal sata drive. It was cheaper to buy it this way, and I got an extra USB cable.

I bought this just in time. My 2 TB internal hard drive was almost full and was on its last leg. I bought this huge external hard drive and was able to transfer all my iTunes music and movies. Won’t be running out of storage for a very long time

I use this for a back up and store all my files so I have more memory on my computer

What a great deal this was for 8 TB! I should have bought 2 of these . Now I have more than enough disk space for storage and my desktop runs much faster. Easy setup ...plug and play. I highly be recommend it.

Great Device for you stationed needs. Archieves tons of things and room to spare. If you have this hooked up to your network, it can be a network storage device and data server.

I've used this several times to backup most of the data on my LAN. The unit worked without a problem, was not load and didn't become hot. Very happy with the result.

I bought this for my expanding digital movie collection. This HDD is easy to use. It was plug and play straight from the box. Its high capacity and ease of use make this a great expansion drive. Catching it on sale was also great.

Good amount of storage and it's reasonably quick. The software installs quickly (if you have an interest in using it, there's not a requirement to do so) and lets you run back ups, update firmware, etc. I bought 4 and I'm very happy with the value of them.

I had to back up a 4 Drive Raid array to reuse those drives in a WD NAS Raid array. (Plex server). So I needed 16TB's above what I already had in hand to back up. All went well. These will probably be plugged in to the new NAS as USB additional drives.

Excellent for the price. It is very conveniento add extra storage to your computer or console. A little big to travel with it, but for extra storage it is perfect.
