This 8 TB is so easy to use. It shows up immediately on your computer. Very fast transfer as it's a USB 3.0. That's probably my favorite part, I had 6 TB with of stuff and it transferred fast. I didn't lose any files or had any problems.

The Western Digital EasyStore 8TB external drive is a great external drive. Inside is a Western Digital Red 8TB drive. If you are looking for an extremely FAST drive, this may not be the best choice, as it is a 5200 RPM drive. However, At this price it is a great TB/dollar deal and the enclosure is solid. There is no fan to cool the drive, but as it is a Red drive and 5200RPM it does not get that hot.

These are great drives especially when you can catch them on sale for $149. Certain ones come with WD red NAS drives inside that cost more without the enclosure. You’ll need to google it to find the info. Overall it should be a large dependable drive.

This powered External HDD from WD is a solid and stable performer for my video editing needs. Was on a great sale, too! Just format it when you get it so you don’t have to deal with it’s reinstalled stuff.

This is my second external storage purchase. I have one for both of my kids gaming systems. This holds much more than the system makers offer and the cost is way lower. You won't go wrong purchasing this item.

I needed an external drive to store all my games and content for my Xbox One X. This does the job well and gives me a lot of space to grow into. I have a 4TB external HDD on another Xbox One S, and that one is getting low on available space.

This review is as an external drive for my Xbox. I have used seagate drives in the past with no issues. Saw this drive on sale and picked it up for a little extra room. Did not want to stay connected to the Xbox. Swapped it with my old 4tb seagate drive and no issues. First wester digital drive and very disappointed.

Because it is USB 3.0, it copies faster than I thought. Great size for backups.

Some of my other external hard drives work only with certain versions of windows. This external HD can be read by all of my computers; some of which are over 10-years old. Easy to use. It is just plug and play.

Worked exactly as I hoped it would; 1/2 off the price convinced me to buy it.

Bought one in January 2025. Stopped working in September. Lost all data on it. WD support says they have zero accountability for retrieving the data.

These drives when on sale represent a great value and are high quality drives!

This is the cheapest 8tb drive you can buy. Comes with a very good WD Red HDD

This was no problem to hookup to my Mac. Just quickly reformat it using the Mac Disk Utility and it was ready to go. Very quick Time Machine backup using the USB 3 connection. This is probably bigger than I need, but it the price was too good to pass up.

I have two of these. One for the PS4 and one for Xbox One. They work flawlessly and I’d recommend them to anyone with either console.

Had 2, returned them because they both ran VERY hot right out of the box, 57 after 2 hours. Crystal Disk Found that the type is WD80edaz, which is important, because no one knows if it is a CMR or SMR drive?? The real question is what type of drive is this, why the overheating and why did they change??

I haven't used this yet, but will be used as storage for all our pictures and videos to have them all in one place.
