Got this to store tons of pics and videos. Very fast and depndable

super simple to use and no time consuming setup required. you just plug it in and it works. check to see if your model comes from Thailand. If it does, you're in luck as this is the 256MB cache version which makes it the desirable one.

Easy connection, no setup needed. Wanted a large drive to store all of my files in 1 location to keep offline for an emergency. I don't think I'll run out of space for a few years.

I have a PS4 Pro with 1TB of storage and thought I have plenty of room, boy was I wrong. An external hard drive, in my opinion, is a must, and with this 8 TB it solved all my storage problems.

It takes a bit of work to get this to backup effortlessly with Time Machine. It did the first backup and then stopped. After erasing it, it now is working as expected. Plenty of storage and a good price.

Lots of storage for a good price. Heres a little something....inside of these enclosures you'll find WD RED drives which are of a very high pedigree. Suffice to say these drives are built like a tank and will provide years of service.

I have standardized on Western Digital drives and this was a deal on Best Buy so I got it for the 8TB storage. I will use Acronix to make auto backups of my two WD drives on my pc. I have an older 1TB WD NAS and that is too complex. This one is a simple, external drive that shows up on my folder index in Windows Explorer. It is also USB 3.0 which is very fast.

Got this to strip and use the HDD in my storage computer, took about 5 minutes to remove the case from the drive and get it up and running. Very easy to get into and at a good price.

More than 6 months of trouble-free daily backups. Lots of capacity for the price. Doesn't come with a USB-C adapter but you probably don't need one for a desktop drive.

Bought this backup drive to back up our data on home desktop and wife's laptop, prior to upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10. Worked fast and served as another copy in addition to my WD cloud drive.

From my experience, it is an excellent product with enough saving space that can hold lots of media and documents, especially for data hoarders like me. Thanks, BestBuy for making such products available.

I’ve been short of space before and could not save important data.

I was glad to get this as a backup on sale. The size of 8TB was one of the requirements I had and they were out of the "my cloud" versions in that. Looking back now, I wish I would have waited only because I think I would have preferred to back up through my wifi instead of having to manually connect to each device with a USB. Other than that I have no complaints.

Do a lot of gaming and need the extra storage. Now I can just leave my system in rest mode and do all the updates when I’m away. It’s been such a time saver.

I have 25 of them dating back to 2003, I keep the older ones disconnected when I don't need to access them, and my data is still accessable on all of them. This is the only external drive I recommend.
