You really can't find a better value when it comes to adding drive space. This is my 5th one of these, a. D as long as the price remains competitive, I will keep coming back when I need more space

This drive enclosure allows you to get a 8TB WD Red drive for much less than if you were to buy it separately. The only downside is that the warranty is shorter on the enclosure, but it's well worth it for the massive savings.

Was looking for a larger external backup drive to store photos. My current 4TB drive was full and I wanted something larger so all files could fit into one external drive. The WD Easy store was the right size for the right price.

I picked this up on a flash sale so I couldn't beat the price for the amount of total storage it provided. I am using it as additional storage space for my PS 4 which was very easy to connect and use.

I purchased this drive on a great deal during the holidays. It now serves as my primary storage for my PS4 pro and it works flawlessly. My only con to it is that the drive can be a little loud other than that it is perfect.

I was so happy that I talked this on sale. Easy setup on my system with no problems and it's been running ever since with the load of movies and videos and games without load on it. No complaints at all

The drive inside mine is a WD80EZAZ, so my results below may vary from yours, if yours has a different model inside. Noise and thermals are fine, both in its case and transplanted to a SFF desktop. It does support PWDIS, aka has "the 3.3 volt issue," which only people who shuck need to know and plan around. It's CMR, not SMR, so it won't bog down ridiculously when the cache is full. Helium-filled, so I don't expect it to last more than five years, but that's still over twice the warranty period.

Don't pay over $150 for this. The ones in the cellophane are the ones for shucking. The boxes with the tape dots are whites but may be ok. Keep the shells, they can be reused for other HDDs if desired.

I have 2 other WD 4TB drives that are used to backup 2 computers. I bought this drive to extend my storage capacity and so far it's functioning as expected. I will probably purchase a second 8TB drive in the near future.

Bought on sale was best purchase I made this holiday season.

This is a great external hard drive, automatically backs up all of the files I chose, and at the time I prefer. Works great for keeping all my important files copied in another drive just in case the main drive dies

I got this to use with my Xbox and love it. Super easy to set up and I like that you plug it into the wall and doesn’t just run off of the Xbox’s power. Would totally recommend

I bought this drive when it was on sale and I'm glad I did. I have it backing up anything new on my system at a daily set time, and have had zero problems with it. Mine came with a WD Red drive inside, so I know it will last.

I wasn't sure it would work.. I googled all over and could not get a definitive yes or no... but I loaded it up with hundreds of uncompressed DVD and Bluray movies and TV series and they play flawlessly.. with room to spare.

Like many have mentioned here before, the inside of this unit contains a bare Red or White WD 8tb Drive. I've purchased several of these and added them to a NAS. Great performance and even better price for the size.
