It was on sale and purchased it to use as a backup storage. Connected to the router. We usually turn it on when it's needed. Had been working fine. No issues.

This drive is based on the red led nas drive so it is supposed to be more reliable for an always on system. And the speed has been good so far for my use. It's cheaper than buying the bare drive so buy now think later.

went from 4tb to 8tb, will soon upgrade to 12tb. todays high megapixel dslrs create big files and quickly fill up storage. thise was very inexpensive and huge storage

great so far. I have never had a WD product break on me and I have had a external hard rive from them for almost a decade now and it still works as good as the day i bought it and it has been everywhere with me.

So far this has been a great drive. I have not had it that long just about a month and there has been no issues. The price per size ratio is pretty good. I would say it is worth a buy.

This is the 2nd one I've owned. I liked the first one so much I bought another. It is very easy to hook up and configure the backups. Quiet and very reliable.

I have 2 other 4 TB easystore drives and was happy with them until I dropped one and damaged it. So this is a replacement. I figured more storage is better. So far so good on an iMac. Must reformat for Mac but it’s not too complicated a process. If you don’t want to reformat select the WD My Book.

Great HDD with great READ WRITE speed (about 200MB/s)

Bought to upgrade the ps4 externally, now that it supports up to 8gb external storage (can play off it)... works like a charm.

This hard drive teally helped my xbox one storage. It works great for extra storage. It is easy to move saved games to external hard drive too. If you get 8 tera you should be set with plenty of storage space.

Easy install no glitches , lots of inexpensive storage

I use this on my Xbox One S since I only purchased the 500 Gb version. This gives me way more space than the 1TB version and I didn't pay much more for the Xbox One S and the 8TB hard drive versus the 1TB version.

Looked to consolidate several external HD's into one and this is what I chose after research and reading reviews. Very satisfied with ease and quality. I have noticed no sounds or other issues with HD operation.

This device is able to store of the required amount of data for Outlook back ups and other data files. The last version I purchase which was half the storage size was not able to store the required amount.

I have 5 of these and have not had one fail yet . They used to contain wd red drives now they all have a white label drive that are assumed to be the same reliability and speed as the reds.
