Great unit for backing up all my files!! I have tons of audio and quite a lot of video footage from my phone, Sony 60gb Handycam and my action cam!

Needed additional storage on my Xbox, was able to copy content from one console to the new one. It's working great and tons of room for new content.

I bought this hard drive for my son’s Xbox One. As soon as I plugged it in, the Xbox recognized it and formatted it immediately. We were using it in under five minutes.

I bought a few of these a few years ago, they are all still performing well. In that same time I had a few seagate go bad, so I'm sticking with WD.

I rarely have any issues with any WD hard drives . I write zeros to the whole drive a couple times to make sure it does not fail prematurely.

Oddly i have never had an issue with these hard drives even with moving parts on the inside . This is my 3rd and all three have worked fine for years.

What can I say, they are WD reds with a lower warranty. Pull them apart and throw them in a NAS. Price on sale is fantastic. Hopefully one day i can replace these with SSDs.

I bought this for backing-up audio record files. So far, WD 8TB HDD has shown the reliable performance and stability. I would recommend this for backup storage.

This is a great external HD. I use it to archive data and pictures. It works great and I haven't had any issues when I have used it.

So once I learned from some searching that the WD red drives are installed in the mybook, and confirmed that fact with the some smartctl magic, i was a happy camper.

I love the WD hard drives, they are so easy to just plug in, move your stuff over and simply store it. Plus BB had a sale so it was worth it at under 200

I have bought several of these drives, then carefully extracted the internal 8TB (WD80EMAZ-00WJTA0 ) drive for use in my Synology DS918+ NAS. Works great.

This was purchased for an Xbox One that had yet again run out of space. This worked out great. I’d definitely buy another one.

This was a fantastic deal, I bought this external hard drive for my Xbox One S, now I have plenty of room for downloads and games. Easy to set up and working well so far.

Have an older 4TB model. The 8TB is just as great. Both have been reliable and never missed a beat. Easy to install and use.
