This contains an 8TB red drive inside, which is a very good and durable hard drive. I've purchased several of these and they all work great with absolutely no problems.

Makes a great external USB 3.0 drive or you can shuck the internal drive for use in a NAS. Either way this Red drive is tried and true and should last you a long time.

The WD Easystore 8TB is an excellent HDD. Drive runs quiet and kool. Great price for 8TBs of storage. Bonus is you may get a WD Red drive. I highly recommend this HDD.

Somehow inexpensive hard drive. It gets the job done. Some transfer might be a little slow, but it's been reliable so far. These always go on sale so I would suggest waiting to get a better deal.

I'm getting about 150 MB/s transferring between the two drives I bought, which is great for a spinning disk. We'll see if they hold up long-term, but I have high hopes.

Needed another drive to round out my NAS, and this drive works perfectly! I liked it so much that I got one extra one just in case I end up needing it!

I use as my external storage for my iMac 512GB SSD. Easy to set up; just plug n play with the Mac. My only critique is sometimes the Mac is a little slow recognizing it when I'm looking for a file. otherwise it works as needed.

We are using this device to add to our personal library of music and films. The price for this item was excellent. The quality was also very good.

It's real hard to beat Western Digital for reliable hard drives. The My Store drives use Western Digital's Red series drives so there pretty bullet proof.

I had a 4tb USB 2.0 drive and upgraded to this 8tb USB 3.0 drive. The speed difference is amazing, and I now have another 4tb of space to fill up!

Ran out of memory on my time machine. This allowed me to expand my backup capability without purchasing a new expensive time machine that's cr_p quality anyway. Reformatting was a little tricky but it works great now. The cost for amount of memory is unbeatable and it's WD!
