Bought this for my Xbox one X. I have over 250 games installed on it and it still has 3.5 TB left on it. Loads games very quickly compared to my old 3TB model.

Fantastic way to store backups for all my home computers. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable storage

This is a solid and reliable drive. Have had no problems. I am sure in 4 to 5 years I will need to buy the next size up. You can’t go wrong with this one.

There were no instructions for startup or reformatting so I had a little trouble reformatting for Mac but once I completed that there were no troubles. Backup was easy and pretty fast. We will see how it holds up over time but overall I am pretty pleased with the purchase.

These are great for backing up the pc and nothing else.

This hard drive more than meets the demand of everyday use. If you want to back up a lot of files on PC/Mac or (what I use it for) install your games on video game consoles, then this is a perfect drive for you. I found that I have a massive backlog of games, and my friends always wanted me to install older games that I had finished. No longer do I have to worry about keeping those games installed because of the size of this drive. It has fast access to files, and is large enough where I will also use it with the next gen of consoles as well.

Simple to re-format for use on a Mac and large enough to store my extensive photo collection! AND can't beat the price when it's on sale!!!!

The clerk told me this unit could be used as a wireless unit through my router. That is incorrect - it must be directly connected to the computer when in use. With that being the only problem, the storage unit itself has worked very well so far and is very useful.

The external hard drive has worked as advertised. I've had it for about 3 weeks and no problems so far. The price was great when I got it as well.

Fantastic drive at awesome price. Works great as all WD have for me. I highly recommended this drive, I store recorded TV shows on the drive.

8tb is nice for an Xbox one user who has games pass the 4K files are big and gives you way more than enough room to download what you like

My 8TB Easystore is not blazing fast, or I'd have given it 5 stars... but, honestly, I did not expect it to be. Just functional and reliable. So far, it has been that. It was a good value, and I'm still happy with it.

Great drive and even better price! I have a ton of these and the 10s in my server. They are quite reliable and I'll buy more in the future.

Pros: - Read/write speed is great(about 200MB/s) so it's even faster than USB 3.0 sticks. Guess it contains a decent HDD inside. - Huge capacity. 8TB = 7.27 TiB - Does not make noise. Cons - It's AC powered. You should carry both 3.0 cable and adapter. - Somewhat bulky, not so portable compared to other external HDD... But compared to its capacity its okay. Its huge capacity is perfect for backup things, such as my photo, videos on my travel, etc. But it's not portable, so may be used as my backup machine. I'd want to get a 4TB version afterward if I need portable one. Very satisfied.

Have had it for a few months now and so far no issues - will know the quality of the drive in the coming years. For the price though seems like great value.

Received the drive in excellent condition performs flawless wish I had known it was a WD red drive inside I would have bought more could not pass for only $149

I have bought many of these to use in my desktop to store a lot of media. I have had no problems using the hard drive in my desktop

I don't have the time or desire to "fool with" tech that is supposed to be making my life easier. This drive fit that need. Plugged it into my laptop and it worked. Best of all, months later it is still working.

..and surprisingly quiet. This is my first WD electronics object, but I'm sure to buy more in the coming year. Great Black Friday pricing as well!!

8TB for $140 on sale, what can I say? Hard to find storage for cheaper per TB, and the external functionality works flawlessly.
