The Western Digital easystore 8TB external hard drive works as described and as intended. If you need more space, whether it is for backing up important files or storing media, or both, this should do the trick for sure.

When on sale, this is the best value external drive you can buy. Best Buy arranges some serious magic with WD to get these 8TB easystore models priced extremely low at times, with the hard drive mechanism inside worth nearly twice as much. Those bare drives rarely go on sale, which makes these external models very popular. This is no cheap-o hard drive. These are a variant on the 5400 RPM WD Red, designed for 24/7 always-on usage in server systems. So far, mine have been extremely quiet as well. Zero complaints. Keep those WD deals coming, Best Buy!

I love this hard drive. So much, in fact, hat it's the second one I've bought! The hard drive is easy to set up and use, fast, and very reliable.

If you have a lot of people on you network like I do. This makes a good low power NAS with a raspberry pi 4 Just make sure to block Microsoft from your pi 4 not the files on the NAS just the OS and it will run like a clock... youtube has some videos on this. This is going to be my backup NAS so it's only going to run about 2 times a week. I just hope this is not an SMR drive if it is it's going back I will be testing it soon

I was initially going to use this for my video games but decided to just use it for my computer. No complaints so far, was able to store tons of my photos pretty quickly and the HD isn't too loud at all. It was priced at a great price for 8 TB.

I read up on these and decided I needed this to handle my gaming needs for my Xbox One. Could not pass on that $139.99 price. I missed out on the 4TB Easy Store portable HDD for $79.99 on Black Friday. I've read other reviews and got lucky on getting a WD Red NAS with 256mb cache. Hear these are ideal for NAS use, but I just needed it for my Xbox games library.

This hard drive allows me to store all my pictures and videos. I am a professional photographer and it has so much space and so easy to set up.

So far so good. Had to have more storage as three teens and Dad can't come to agreement on what to uninstall. The amount of space for the money seems very reasonable. Install was simple.

this external has a white label WD drive inside. The particular drive is identically specced to a WD Red label drive and works great in a NAS.

It's 8TB of space on an external USB 3.0. Can't go wrong with that. So far so good. USB 3.0 makes a huge difference transferring large files.

This is the second drive I have purchased. The first a year ago. The drive is fast, and takes up little desk space. Runs quietly. What more can you adk?
