I pull these out if their case for use in a Nas. Very easy to do without destroying the external case, should you want to out it back in later...

I edit a lot of video. Being able to just drop my footage off on the hardrive without worrying about space is so great. Plus it’s cheap

This is basically a plug in and drive unit. So easy and fast to set up. Began using it immediately to store anything. It is fast and easy to use.

This drive is much more quiet than my newest drive that was that was a 8 tb Western Digital also. It looks like the old one with the light on it. Works Great!

Great external HD, fast and reliable. I will be buying another and set them up in a mirror raid for a secure back-up system for working with my photos.

Excellent hard drive at a great price. WD always delivers with quality drives. Internal drive is a NAS red drive which I eventually plan on putting in my NAS.

I open it it up and it's a white label 8TB drive, works fine in my NAS. Follow the youtube instruction to open the case.

While its size is impressive and it was on sale for a good price. I found that something is happening frequently when im using it for external storage on my ps4. It either freezes my game and i have to pull the plug or it says the data has been corrupted and would i like to repair the storage, saying yes gets me past it and it loads my games. So far i havent lost games or data but thus far it has not been a glitch free experience. I never experienced anything with anything failing to load before but since using it for storing games this happened at least four times over the first month its been in use. Maybe its not up to par for gaming. Just hoping it holds out...

I stripped these a few of these down and put the bare drives in a personal storage server. Have lasted me over a year with no issues so far.

Great drive to shuck for a NAS. Super easy to shuck and got a 10TB WD "White label" pretty much a red drive with a different FW.

What can I say. Plenty of space, extremely dependable and a pretty quick drive for its size. Oh and wd quality and dependability.

This external hard drive is compatible with PS4 & works like a charm. Highly recommended to avoid any space/storage issues on PS4 & keep gaming!!!
