I bought this as a time machine backup for my Macs. I had to reformat the volume so it could be used as such. No problems and it works well.

8 TB of storage. I've been using Western Digital drives for over 20 years and they are always of high quality.

I bought this as a backup to my photos and videos as this did not disappoint!! Amazingly fast and huge amount of storage for videos! A must buy.

I am using this drive for media storage. 8 TB's of storage holds a lot of media. Took it out of the casing and it is a WD Red Drive. What a deal!

Robust and quick in Sequencing Backup material... Heat may be an issue, but with proper due diligence and ventilation, all has been fine!

Backing up a server to this drive daily. It's been stable and fast for a few month. Normally I have good luck with Western Digital drives.

I use the drive to back up media files. So far it’s been working great. It does seem to start up even when the drive is not being accessed, but that would be my only complaint. It’s nice and cheap for the amount of storage you get!

I have had no problems with this. It backs up the computer we connected it as we expected it to. We haven't had to retrieve anything from it so I am giving it only 4 starts. I will update this if we every have to use it for anything else.

We got this to try to consolidate all of the other hard drives that we have accumulated. It works great and holds everything!

Got this to backup and replace some older Passport and Freedrive harddrives and was easy to do. Plug and play at it's finest.
