    I've owned many Western Digital hard drives to back up my photo and music/video library, and they've been consistently dependable. Because it's a question of 'when' and not 'if' a hard drive will eventually fail, I've replaced them regularly, but over ten years, I can still access my files from the older drives. I conclude that WD is a brand to trust.
