    I didn’t realize it was a desktop external hard drive until I received it. I wanted a portable. It was returned unopened. I have several WD easystore portable hard drives that have served me well.

    I purchased this hard drive to store my movie collection. A lot of my movies were stored on another hard drive that was failing. I was able to successfully transfer the videos. The transfer rate from my laptop to hard drive was transferring at about 100mbps. . . when I was transferring over the network it slowed down to like 25mbps. It was nice to see that local transfers onto this hard drive can be uploaded fairly quickly.
