I only use this as a backup drive, works great for that. USB 3.0 speeds, you'll get the effective maximum transfer rate that the drive can support.

Installed the antenna on the post that previously held a satellite dish, connected the cable from the dish, and voila I had access to WILX. What you are able to pull in depends on the direction you point the antenna. For example, there are stations with closer towers that it doesn't pick up because it's pointing northeast instead of northwest. But it allows me to watch the local news I care about.

This drive works great and haven't had any issues.

This is my 3rd external drive by WD and I've had nothing but a great experience with them. Setup was basically just plug and play, I didn't need to do anything else. I have moved this drive back and forth between my Windows 10 computer and Linux computer without any issues. I would recommend this for your next backup drive, especially when they are on sale!

I honestly wanted this to work, I did. It didn't! I use a Mac, and I reformatted using disk utility, and it would not partition, it would not erase, it would not use first aid. Maybe I just had a bad unit, but this will not be in my household to back up 8TB worth of Video projects. No sir! I'm going with the G-Technology G-Drive Thunderbolt when it comes back into stock. I will say this, its great for a PC as its NTFS so it easily booted up and was working great on my wife's PC, however, reformatting it to Mac out of the box, was not an option, I tried it all people. It just wasn't in the cards.

Great for backing up photos and videos. There is a RED drive inside the case.
