Works great as extended storage for PS4

I didn't use any preinstalled programs before reformatting it, but for anyone looking for something for their PS4, this works great. Though, since it uses its own cable, you won't be able to just simply get a longer one, so keep it close to the system.

It had a western digital EDAZ drive. It works well and is in RAID 0 with another EDAZ drive in my Plex server. Cheap storage, easy to shuck. Buy this if you need more storage.

I decided this was the best way to go, so if I ever go to another desktop again - no transferring!

High capacity WD Red in plastic

This backup has been on constant cycle for about six months now without any hiccups or issues. It runs as cool as I would have expected. I have no reservations about the drive or its reliability based on past performance of WD products.

She absolutely loves it this extra space for her editing of the pictures.

I am still working on getting everything I want backed up. I have not found how to get Google photos to back up to the drive. But at this piont I am blaming myself. make sure the setting are set. mine was only backing up the os at first.

Great even without USB 3

I don't have USB 3 on this computer, but it works fine at USB 2. Initial transfer of huge batch of files did take a long time (overnight), after that the auto backup and regular access to files is indistinguishable from my hard drive (which works better now that I moved so many files off it).
