    I'm using this as a time capsule that I have connected to an Airport Extreme to allow several Macs to back up tp. Easy set up. Easy to grant access for users. And easy for the Macs to backup to. 8TB should last a while.

    Currently have eight of them. No issues although I did void their warranty as I opened them up, and ended up with three reds and five whites. They reside in an UnRaid server. High satisfaction level. :)

    I bought this on sale and believe me that was a great deal. This drive is amazing for anyone looking to create a media library. Fast write speed. I transferred several hundred gigs of music and movies to it in no time. Again great buy.

    Nothing disappointing about this storage box, simple plug and play once you format it for windiws/Mac or both. I would have expected type c usb as well. I do wish that someday, 8tb also can be portable and does not require electrical power to run... that still makes it feel like the old world when 500 go was powered by electricity.

    I have a couple of these 8TB WD hard drivers and let me tell you that they are way better than their equivalent other brand drives in terms of fail tolerance. Highly recommended.
