    Purchased two of these on sale. The two I purchased both had WD 8tb Red drives inside. They are 5400RPM with 256gb cache. Shucked and placed in my media server. Great price at $159 for a bare drive that retails for $285.

    Got this for storing computer backups, photos and videos. Not the fastest but does the job. I only plug it in when in use so it will last forever. Get it on sale Black Friday...will be hugely discounted.

    I don't have any complaints about this hard drive. I use it for my media server to store movies and it hasn't had any problems in almost a year. Plug and play, works fast and like a charm.

    Awesome when on sale. People say these have NAS drives inside, but as long as it's under warranty I am not going to mess with it. I am using as USB only and it works great for offline storage.

    These are immensely popular because they contain a high quality drive. Like most other external drives, they do tend to run hot due to poor ventilation, so it wouldn't hurt to use a fan to keep it cool.

    I give this a five star. I didn’t end up keeping it in its enclosure. Took the hdd out and added it internally to my desktop. Using it as a server pc. Well worth the price.
