I have turned off several times the electricity by mistake and no problems. Most of the time HD gets corrupted or inaccessible.,

Works great. I have it connected to my nas. I have media stored on it and I can stream the data perfectly without buffering.

after a month the drive seems to be working fine. It is quite and meets my requirements as a file and system back up drive.

Very happy they were non white label reds, and were the “made in Thailand” drives too so they had a larger cache than white label drives

Exactly as advertised. The internal HD is large, spins at 5400 RPM, and is high quality. Good product.

Use this for all my movies. It has never failed and is fast enough. Does have a little lag if you haven't used it in awhile and sometimes the noise is louder than my other WD drives. Very minimal problems for the size of this and price.

Dont ever go cheap on storage, use name brands. WD does a good job. I stream media from it with no issues at all.

This is an excellent value at $199 and below. Inside is 8 the WD Red with 256 MB cache. You can feel warm and fuzzy knowing your data is secure.

This drive is so great I bought two. Works great and has no speed restriction on the USB connection. The western digital warranty is great too.

The 8TB External drive that I received has a WD Red drive inside which "helps preserve your data and maintain optimum performance". Good deal!

I set this up with the built in backup feature in windows 10. The drive works seamlessly and quietly backing up all of my volumes.

nice basic desktop for most computer needs. small footprint CPU is basic as is RAM but will do most tasks with ease. Not meant for gaming.

This price it is a great TB/dollar deal and the enclosure is solid. I can hear sometimes "Click" but I thought it is no problem for function.

I use this with my XBOX One S to expand storage as I have gold and the free games take up a lot if space and I only have 500 GB internal.

I find this hard drive is far too noisy when its backing up. Perhaps I purchased one that's faulty. I plan on exchanging it with a new one at BestBuy & giving this model another try.

Western Digital is the name in storage. What else can be said about them? Fast and safe storage.
