    All my WD drives require just a bit of finagling upon initial setup. Nothing too complicated so it’s not a big deal. But I’ve never had an issue with them like I have other brands.

    there are some noise when starting the hd and it's loud. I take it as a back up drive. so no worry.

    This 8tb drive is working fine so far, and I have been pushing it big time moving lots of data from other drives. It's backup twin has also been fine. Data transfer speeds aren't stellar but just fine.
