    I bought this not even a week ago after my almost 9 year old 2TB external HD appears to have died (beeping every minute or so, not being recognized in W10 or MacOS) and I couldn't be happier! I play many games in the 100GB+ range and found myself running out of space on my old external drive incredibly fast. Finding this was a lifesaver and maybe now I can comfortably have a drive dedicated to gaming and large playlists I download from YouTube. Setup is incredibly easy and took less than a minute (I used the windows setup as my gaming pc is the primary one I'm using this on), and this is literally plug and play. I wish it was possibly to transfer files from my most likely dead drive, but for now, I'll deal with getting everything back. Next on my list is most likely a ultrawide monitor as my Samsung 27" curved that's a little over 2 years old is dead and I know where I'll be going. 10/10 would recommend. I'll add a photo (or two) once I'm back on my windows PC and it's in use, I've only set it up for the time being and currently using my Mac until I get a new monitor.

    works as it should, has troubles sleeping though, and this backs up a NAS so that is problematic. only buy this when on sale

    Great price, needed a larger drive. Only complaint is that it does go to sleep and takes a bit to wake up. Only drive I have noticed this with.
