I thought it was like other units I have had: you plug it in, it appears in your toolbar and the back ups are automatic. It took me awhile to get to it or I might have returned it.

Broke after 2 months!

Will do most everything

It works however about half way through the movie the lip sync starts to not track. So it's not much use for me 400 DVD collection. I'm pretty disappointed.

Our USB ports are all located up front so if it is jostled hard enough it causes the storage device to not work properly so we have to unplug it and restart the ps4.

Pretty good, but disconnects at times

Have read that others have experienced the same and may need to do a driver update. It's working, but the disconnect is annoying.
