Not so easy

Mine failed less than 1 month out of warranty

I should have used the item more to perhaps notice it sooner. I recommend spend a few dollars more for models with higher warranty. WD has externals with 3 year warranty which is what I would go with next.

I've not forgotten this was a "bait and switch purchase" advertised as a special open to purchase on a certain date and time, at the time designated it was "sold out" HOWEVER we do have this same one at a higher price.
