The 3.0 USB port was not installed properly and could not test it.

Writing a review after approx 15 months, and the drive has already failed. Completely shot. Took it to experts and they said the drive is dead. Normal use, stored in a filing cabinet when not in use.

Died 2 weeks after GSP ran out. I was using it for Time Machine backup so no data loss, but still... Won't be replacing it with any WD product. They show I purchased this July 2020 it was April 2019.

Bad returned it twice to store and got another one but still acted the same get a corrupted message remove corrupted file and then get it again and it is coming from iTunes so shouldn’t be corrupted at all. Seagate hard drive gives me no problems

I have had it 1 month and a day and it has quit working. Best Buy only gives 30 days I guess since it says no longer returnable. Worst purchase i have made and I may start buying just from Amazon now.

This drive has failed to continue to backup my files. I get an error message and it refuses to continue after one backup. I am using High Sierra on a mid 2010 Mac Pro. I hope I am able to return it for a working drive, as it is not old.

Got this to move decades of movies and photos from 15 years of DVD's. The price for 8GB was fantastic, and the performance fine for a USB external. And, after weeks of copying DVS's there's been no issues.

The drive was connected my my mac mini and worked a cool 65 days. One morning I noticed the drive is no longer powering up. No troubleshooting is possible. Its dead along with 2TB of my saved files.

Best buy limit 3. YouTube these drives some people on YouTube say that you get a red nas inside that is simply not true this is just a cheap little drive I found errors when I scanned it so 1 star.

Huge storage but stopped working just a few weeks after purchase without notice. Can't access files.

Used it once as a back-up that took 3 hours (Which is slow for a back-up from an SSD) and then failed to initialize (Ironically 18 days after purchase... just out of best buy warrently.... go figure)

Couldn’t get it to store over 1 tb on a 8 tb hard drive without getting an error message that files were corrupted but I think that the hard drive is junk will never get this product again

I wish I would have given negative star.. I lost all my kids first year picture. This product screwed my first born kids memory..

Sent photos to be scanned by a company and the scans were placed I. The cloud but I haven't been able to get them moved to this external drive.

Does not work with time machine backup. Waste of money and tech support not helpful. Will not provide a refund. Stay away from this if you have a Mac

I love mine, best i have ever brought. My WD 8TB external backup, I use as a 3rd backup for 8 my devices cell phones laptops desktops everything. I use the cloud too but I am paranoid that I'm going to lose all my pictures and grandkids my documents online perfect important papers so I'll scan everything and I use the cloud & 2 external drives for backups plus i have everything on my laptop. I know for most this is over kill. It really isn't. The WD is the best and so easy to use It's worth every penny.

Slower than other external hard drives I have and it didn't even last 2 full years.

This drive is incredibly loud, though WD says nothing is wrong with it. Regret buying this drive, DO NOT BUY!
