Great. Easy to set up. Plenty of storage. I use it as a catch-all backup option.

Solid choice for extra storage. This is my 3rd one, and they each perform solidly. I mainly use them for backup and for media storage on my computers and server.

I've been needing to backup all of my information onto one product for years and finally I've done it! Obviously this product works. It's easy to setup as well.

Got this because I don't see myself being able to stop taking pictures through out my life. When I'm dead maybe my tombstone will be a video monitor and this thing just gets plugged in and plays like my pictures.

Works as it should. The older ones had Red hard drives not sure about the newer ones. I haven't opened it up yet to take a look, 11/3/22, but will report back later when I get it open.

I prefer Western Digital to other brands due to past problems with others. This one is at a good price point for the amount of storage. I would recommend getting two - one for backup and one for archive purposes.

this item goes on sale around black friday. Good when it is priced at $120 (new). I think going into 2021, the 12 and 14 TB will be more affordably priced. I've bought two 8TB and two 12 TB when on sale at Best Buy. I have heard that some people shuck these and these are the White Label drives. Good for NAS and home Plex servers. Best Buy is really great for buying many products when on sale.

Fantastic price (deal of the day) and really easy to use

I bought this WD easystore 8TB to replace my 500GB external USB hard drive when it died. This is a huge upgrade in terms of HD capacity. I connect the WD easysotre to a docking station so whenever I plug in my 2-in-1, Windows File History would back up my working documents on an hourly basis. 8TB provides adequate capacity for my backup purposes. The black case, in an upright position, fits my working area well and does not take up a lot of space. I was lucky enough to receive the 7200 rpm HDD. My HDD is 5400 rpm. It always takes time for it to spin up for the hourly backups. The spin-up always gives me a little hiccup as I work (type, type, type) on my 2-in-1. The HDD is noisier than I prefer as it reads and writes -- but I can live with it. As a backup drive, this WD easystore serves my purposes.

WD backup was much faster than I expected. Easy to set up, I don't even have to think about backing up because it does it atomically

Although purchased as a gift, this is one of many Western Digital drives I've purchased over the years, and have never had any issues with them (aside from running out of space). Easy to set up and to move files to. Quick delivery, especially during the busy holiday season!

I bought this for a backup hdisk for my stuff. Should provide a good storage option for NAS or remain a reliable external backup. The price was excellent. Hoping to see good results for how it fairs with time.
