What can I say? It is a hard drive and it holds all of my files. It hasn’t died yet and for that I am grateful.

Overall Review: Bought two 10 gig on sale to build a poor man's RAID1. I'm a recording engineer and I need to backup my WAV files. (You'd be surprised how often I get the "do you still have that recording you made for me 4 years ago" call) I didn't want any hardware encryption ala the My Book Duo and its associated horror stories, just backup. Zip tied two of these together, and use FastCopy to move the files.Since these have no built-in fans, the drives run a little warm. It's probably OK, but my OC nature was looking for reassurance. So with more zip ties, I added a 80mm fan on top of the two enclosures. I used a magnetic bearing fan that runs super quiet (as a recording engineer, I hate loud fans). Wanting to get the fan away from the drives, I zipped the fan on top of a "chimney". (Zip ties: the engineer's duct tape.) Probably not necessary, but remember I'm Mr. OC. The fan runs || with one enclosure's power supply. Looks janky but works great: cool, quiet, cheap. Now I'm just hoping both drives don't die at the same time.

No more shuffling wads of files between smaller USB drives. Everything has its own home now on one drive. Been using this for about 6 months now. No issues. Works great. I have backed up tons of stuff to it without any issues. Easy to set up and get using. I use this on my Win 10 desktop. I even do my routine backups to this drive. Was definitely worth it.

Wanted to add some space on top of my Xbox one x and didn't want to take my other 2tb hard drive from my other xbox and this one works great. No issues with it at all so far

If you want the fastest, most reliable 8tb storage option available today, this is your drive. The fact that it is the cheapest is just a bonus! How often does THAT happen?

I currently have this item with 1TB of storage. I have had no problems with my current one. I have connected this 8TB device without issue. Great DOORBUSTER item and price!

I couldn't believe the speed of this hard drive. I was able to back up my hard drive at speeds of 180 MBS using USB 3.0. Super fast and tons of space with the 8 Terabytes!

Excellent external hard drive. Storing images and video footage for an upcoming event. WD makes a good product.

Bought this on sale at $179, a few days later they had a similar model on sale at $129, which naturally sold out, so I am stuck with this one, but I'm still happy with it.

I've had my eye on a sale on 2 external hard drives for months. At the price best Buy offered this 8 terabyte external hard drive for $ 123.00 I had to have 2. Very quiet hard drive. Sturdy. 3.0 usb drive. Great looking. Came packaged perfectly. Looks great. I'm extremely happy with my purchases. Arrived in two days. Highly recommended. I don 't think you'll be disappointed.

Works like a charm. This is my second one, the first one I have for 4+ years and still go strong.

Seagate external HD was giving me issues. So I got this one. It was an easy set up. It is sturdy and no issues yet so far.

Best part was it was easy to set up and start using. Next it has a ton of storage so that is a huge plus. I don’t notice much of a difference in speed though from usb 3 to my 3 port. Seems about average in speed. Would recommend this product for the average home user like myself.
