As my need for storage increased I found that I was in need to a larger storage space and found this when it went on sale. I have only used WD for any external hard drives and can say that I dont think I would use any other brand because it has always worked for me. This product is easy to use and love it.

Picked this up from Best Buy at a great price through a Deal of the Day promotion. I've used smaller Western Digital external hard drives and pocket drives for years, and never had one fail me. I wanted to consolidate the multiple drives connected to my computer, and this allowed me to do that. Very happy with it.

I got this external hard drive for my laptop because I ran out of storage. It was easy to hook up and has worked great.

Plug & play made simple...tons of space. Not heavy & doesn't take up space.

Easy set up no problems. Had a 2 gig hard drive and a lot of files on my main harddrive. Took me awhile but I pushed all those files into the new 8 GB harddrive. Now my computer is running better. Will be able to move more when needed should last me for a couple years. Very happy

Good deal for the storage especially when its on sale. So far my only complaint is the drive runs very hot in the enclosure. I have seen the temps go into the 50s.

Wonderful product, plug and play. I use it for home media network storage.

I haven't really used the built-in software for backing up your computer yet. Have just been storing files on it through Windows Explorer. But it seems to be working well. No complaints based on my usage so far.

I have not used the drive as much as I would like, but so far it is performing great and meeting up to the description!

Lots of storage for the price. Took a bit to get it to work with the latest Mac OS - thank goodness for internet help.

I bought this drive with the intent of "shucking" the shell in order to grab just the hard disk drive itself. I already own the WD 6 TB Verizon and works great. I’m upgrading to the 8 TB just to have more storage for the future.

Works as expected. You usually can't go wrong with Western Digital Products.

Needed an upgrade on an external. Found this one on a really good sale at Best Buy and snagged it. Works as advertised.

Good price for large capacity. It should take care of backups for a long time.
