For PS4

Since PS4 only reads one external drive at a time it took me 4 days to completely transfer all files to this external drive. So far there hasn't been any issue with it. I also have a 10Tb and a 6TB hard drive for Xbox One of the same brand. I definitely recommend these drives for console storage. I've also experienced weather power outages a few times and these hard drives didn't fry or become unreadable for improperly shutting down. Good value when you catch them on sale.

Big external drive

Contained WD Reds

They ended up being two drives from Thailand with 256MB cache, which is pretty ideal. Small percentage of these were white label drives from what I saw online. Ones I bought earlier in 2017 were WD Reds with 128MB cache. More people reported that theirs contained the white label drives for the slightly newer/different SKU that's being advertised for the month of Black Friday 2017.

Just know that the manufacturer warranty on these is much shorter than on standalone drives.
