    This external hard drive is not compatible with Windows XP even though the information on it at the Best Buy web site specifically stated that it was. I bought it based on that information and ended up returning it. My intent was to offload files from my XP machine to upload to a current Windows PC. Obviously I was unable to do so. My no recommendation is if it's being purchased for the same reason I did. Otherwise my recommendation would be neutral as I really don't know.
