Works great, easy to setup, connected right away, and is a great answer for a cloud service with lots of space and no monthly fee's. Can access the drive from anywhere with any device. Automatically uploads all my pictures I take which is great for backing up those precious moments. Overall I couldn't be more satisfied, was using Dropbox mainly but was running out of space and didn't want to pay monthly for extra space so decided on running my own cloud and love it!

Easy setup and large storage with internet access. Let's you setup folders accessible from anywhere. However it looks like WDs security is weak per a recent article about security flaws recommending turning off cloud access. So I can only give it 3 stars.

Pros: Price, easy to use/manage, IOS app is easy to use. Great if you are looking for an easy and economic way of having your private media online. It works very well as a media server for smart TVs. Speed is very decent. My only Con: random failures when backing up this drive to another external drive.

Being somewhat of a noob in the NAS server arena, this connected with no major issues. The software was easily downloaded and installed from Western Digital (although their mycloud website is down for repair). The Mobile interface app is a tad glitchy; I keep loosing my connection and have to regenerate a new code daily. As for hardware specs, this device streams video without glitches or lags.

Great little backup solution. Cheaper than most others and does a great job! Using it to offload some data from a server and it performs great. I do have it running through a different ip to speed up my other network

4 computers, 2 smartphones, 2 gaming consoles are all using this as storage for videos and music. Automatic backup for the computers as well

I wanted to have extra space to save my music, movies and documents. I also wanted to have access to them from anywhere I was from my IPhone or IPad, but did not want to subscribe to any Cloud service. This unit solved my issues!!

Great to store data and free up space on the hard drive. Difficult to set up but not impossible for a novice like me.

I purchased this to replace an old WD MYBOOK NAS Drive that was starting to die on me. Setting this up was much easier than the older model and using it is very simple. I highly recommend this and will likely be purchasing another soon.

I wanted a secure backup method without paying for a online service I had no confidence in for keeping my information safe. This device worked well for a few months then hard drive quit. WD was very responsive to my emails & I'm in the process of returning it for replacement. Down side is trusting they will destroy platters with data on them. Never had an issue with other WD products, so I will likely purchase from them again in future.

The WB setup is quite simple. Intuitive interface allows for quick setup. Easy to turn off features you don't want.

Did my research and finally decided on this my Mycloud it performs well and was not to hard to set up on a Mac ..

Discovered a convenient way to set up automatic backup for an overloaded iPhone and iPad! Backup for my massive photo collection so I don't have to keep deleting apps, and can trim the iCloud costs as well. Highly recommend the intuitive configuration out of the box. This was a good investment.

I purchased the WD My Cloud 4 TB to store all my photos and Videos of my Grandchildren. I always buy only WD Hard Drives, External Passport Drives as they are the best drives made. WD does extentise testing before releasing it's drives and back it up with their exclusive software that works Great.

I needed a second NAS and had good luck with my first WD NAS. Tried the MyCloud option. Pretty easy setup and fairly simple to use. My one complaint is that it runs constantly even when there is no syncing. I read this online after the purchase. Not a deal breaker for me but potentially annoying for some.

I've only started using the WD backup drive and am pleased with it's performance so far. I've been using WD products for over 10 years and haven't had one drive fail yet.

Yes I said millions. It is very accessible to add photos and look at your photos. You can go from your computer to your smart phone, and then pick it back up from your tablet. Also it holds many long high definition videos.

It is excellent Must have personal storage. 4 TB is more than enough you need for all your storage requirement. Perfect service at Best Buy. they matched the price with Fry's and on top of it you earn your reward points

The unit setup was very easy, no issues were encountered during setup. When copying a large block of files the system slows down after a bit. If you pause the transfer, wait a bit then continue the transfer rate goes back up then diminishes over time. Overall, I'm happy with the device.
