Very Happy with WD's My Cloud product! Very easy to install, use, and manage! It's great to show family pictures when traveling!

We needed a place to store and remotely access or movies and photos. I needed a good backup drive. This met all of the above.

I purchased this for my husband. He found it quite easy to hook up. We use it for both our computers and 2 smartphones. I have a ton of photos and recipes. We scan everything - receipts for products we buy, paperwork for bills, insurance, etc. The unit is not very large, about 6-3/4" x 4". It sits neatly on his desk along with the modem and other accessories. Now we can access all our files from just about anywhere. It has been operating smoothly for over 2 months now. We are very happy!

This WD product works well. It was very easy to setup. I use it to backup three devices. I am pleased and would buy it again.

I’m so glad I found this WD home cloud back up. It not only backups my MacBook Pro, it does my IPhone and IPad too. It works in the background so I really don’t have to mess with it. I was a bit afraid it wouldn’t work with Apple but it surprised me. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to have a piece of mind knowing they have an alternative to and/or another place for backing up their important documents, photos, etc..

This is a good product for someone just looking to store information on it but it is not a good buy if you want to work off of that hard drive to work and edit items loaded on it. I use this strictly for my iMac back up Time Machine

After numerous reviews I decided for WD MyCloud. I could not have made a better decision. Very easy to set up and use. Very reliable. Highly recommended

It is easy setup and fast speed with transferring files. The security options are also excellent for a home network.

I was very excited to pick up a WD MyCloud after reading about it online. I set it up in my house hoping it would be the answer to our file problems in our house. We have three computers, and each of us uses which ever computer is closest, which has caused problems with duplicate files on multiple computers. The MyCloud sets up very easily. One of the major problems is the number of programs installed to operate it. There is a program for the administrator that allows you to create folders and permissions, then there is a program for any user that takes you to a specific WD file browser, and finally there is another program that allows you to access the folder through Windows Explorer. These programs are actually individual and do not integrate well into with each other. My suggestion is to use Windows Explorer to navigate the files. Another problem, which I called WD about, is that some files get stuck on there and cannot be deleted. I accidentally copied all of my mp3's onto the drive twice, and tried to delete one of the folders. I went through both interfaces to try and delete the second folder and both programs told me there was an error and the folder could not be deleted. After messing with it for a day or two, I called their support line. The people attempted to help and were very polite, but nothing was resolved other than to tell me there must be a problem with that folder. I do hope to get better using it after I have another three day weekend to mess around with it. If they continue to update the firmware and I get better at setting up the access on all of the computers I am sure it will work out well in the end.

Had a slow start with set up. Blame it on internet speed. I do like the center place to get files. was not hard to set up. Still playing with apps when moving music files. Had iTunes recognize drive for music files, works great.

I own 4 Western Digital HDs and this is my first cloud storage HD and I am very satisfied with it. This HD works as it should and it is also easy to setup and connect to your network. My pictures, videos, music at all stored on this HD and I use it all the time on my mobile device. I definitely recommend this HD to anyone.
