Still concern about how safe is my information. Had one that just lost all my info. Lke the functionallity but I´m concern about loosing my info again.

Love the idea I can access my files while deployed without having to drag hard drives with me. As well as I don't have to pay a monthly subscription for only 100 GB when I have 4 TB.

The software to set this up was fairly easy to use and operate which makes this a good purchase for a non-technical person. All the functions described work good so far. Since I only have had it for a few months I cannot vouch for the "durability" of the device and that's why just a 4 star rating. If it continues to work without fail would give it 5 stars.

I almost returned it. First, I'm not overly fond of the new generation of "licensing contracts" that stipulate you are just "borrowing" their product, and they are just "allowing" you to "use" it for the couple hundred bucks YOU PAID FOR THE DEVICE. Second, I don't like "signing up" for a "mandatory" account with ANYONE. Third, the interface is so simplified it doesn't identify all the features that are under the hood. Once I discovered it was running Linux I was able to unlock its hidden potential. Still don't like the "Licensing" or the "Mandatory" account creation. But that is the modern world we live in, and since its Linux under the hood, I can bypass all that rigmarole and use the product the way I WANT TO. Without having to worry about "using" THEIR "Proprietary" garbage, and agreeing to their draconian legal contracts. So in the end, this device will serve both the "newbie" and the "guru" equally well. The newbies will appreciate the simplistic web interface, and the guru's will be able to bypass it and take advantage of its true potential.

great product for a first time personalized cloud user! Very easy to setup and start uploading pictures and documents. Easy to access from any machine within the network! One thing that I am still trying to figure out ( and hence the 4 star) is how to access the device from outside the network. Better document in that area is definitely helpful!

The unit was easy to setup with my home network. All my computers, tablets and phones hooked up nicely with the unit. The only criticism is that it is a little clunky to use. When you back up new files, it loads all the old files on the computer which then proceeds to let you know that the disk on the computer is full. Still trying to figure this hiccup out.

I use this to backup my photos and videos on my home network, works great. Setup was easy and did not have any issues so far. Very good product for the price.

I needed to reformat the drive for it to be compatible with my Mac. However, this was very easy to do. The drive mounts quickly and works well. The price also was reasonable.

There is no users guide...which I find incredible. Contacted WD support person...he claimed they do not create documentation since it would need constant updating. Solved my immediate need for storage and archival....but to date I am really disappointed. Still need to spend more time learning features...which means dedicating time to be on the phone with a WD support person.

We have been looking for a device to allow for backups for all of our devices. The instructions and screen shots are a bit off so prepare for some trial and error when setting it up. We feel better knowing that all the kids and our documents and pictures are backed up in one place instead of trying to remember to regularly back up to many types of devices.

I've had this device for a few months and have not had any problems. I got it mainly for my wife whose mobile devices were getting filled up with videos and recordings taken from her college classes. Now she can upload to her WD cloud and free her devices. Set up was easy and uploading my files was fairly quick and uncomplicated. I also like the apps for both iPhone and iPad.

Method of adding files to slow. Method for adding users also confusing. A good idea but not executed well.

Purchased this product as a backup to our backup. Excellent Value and easy to use. A must have for any computer user to back up your files and the remote access works great

Easy to setup and use and very affordable. Working great so far.

This works very well with TIme Machine. It's quiet and doesn't slow my computer down during backups. I haven't used the Cloud feature much, but it is very intuitive.

Was looking for a NAS and this had good reviews. Purchased on sale plus got a $25 gift card. Very good deal and set up was VERY EASY. I later bought a WD TV box and it found the WD MYcloud instantly.

Been eyeing this NAS drive for some time and finally bought it. It is worth every penny. The interface is simple and easy to use, but also powerful. Using it currently as a backup for my MacBook using TimeMachine and I don't even have to mount the device where I see it on my desktop for TimeMachine to work. This has been great.

Easy install and compatible with iPad and iPhone. Customer service is a problem as they were rude when system would not set up properly. Once the error was figured out runs pretty well. There is a problem with uploading photos so make sure they upload before deleting from any other device.
